Final Card Artwork
Following the set minimalist design brief, and taking inspiration from the earliest historical designs of playing cards - the final artwork for this custom set of playing cards emphasizes the suit iconography and face designs, over the typographical ‘labels’ of each card.
Tuckbox Initial Sketching
Following the template provided by the manufacturer, the initial sketching of ‘tuckbox’ designs was split between the multiple sides of the product packaging. The first priority was establishing what information, written or otherwise, was required. Following this, design elements from existing artwork were applied and adapted to find a new layout that was both functional and aesthetically consistent.
